Cookies and Similar Technologies Policy (EU) — DokiPic
Last updated: 04/03/2026
This policy applies to users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
1. Introduction
DokiPic (hereinafter, “the app”) uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and, if you authorize it, to obtain usage statistics that help us improve the experience.
For the purposes of this policy, we use the term “cookies” to refer to both traditional cookies and other technologies that store or access information on your device, such as:
-
local storage of the integrated viewer (localStorage / sessionStorage),
-
identifiers necessary to remember your preferences,
-
and equivalent technical elements.
Some technologies are first-party (managed by DokiPic) and others may involve third-party services (for example, to load fonts).
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small file that is saved on your device when you use a digital service.
Similar technologies also exist (e.g., local storage) that allow storing or retrieving information from the device for purposes such as maintaining preferences, remembering privacy choices, or facilitating the operation of the service.
3. What are scripts?
A script is a fragment of code that makes the app function correctly and interactively. It can run on our systems or on your device.
4. What is a web beacon?
A web beacon (or “pixel”) is a technical element that allows measuring the performance of the service (for example, counting views or detecting errors). Depending on the case, it may involve the processing of technical data necessary for communication (e.g., IP address or device information).
5. What types of cookies/storage does DokiPic use?
5.1. Technical or functional technologies (necessary)
These are essential for the app and its integrated viewer to work (for example, security, compatibility, load balancing, maintaining essential preferences, or remembering that you have already seen a notice).
They do not require consent when they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested.
5.2. Preference technologies (optional)
These allow remembering certain non-essential choices (for example, interface preferences).
They are used according to your choice in the privacy/cookie panel.
5.3. Statistical technologies (optional, only with consent)
If you accept statistical cookies, DokiPic will be able to measure in an aggregate way how the app is used (for example, most visited sections, performance, and errors) to improve it.
-
If you accept, measurement will be activated.
-
If you refuse, no statistical technologies will be installed nor will this measurement be carried out.
These statistics are managed on our own servers (they are not transferred to a third party as an analytics provider).
5.4. Marketing/tracking technologies (only with consent, if any)
DokiPic will not use marketing/tracking technologies unless expressly indicated in the configuration panel and in this policy.

About Google Fonts
To display certain typefaces, the app may request resources from Google (Google Fonts).
These requests may involve the communication of technical data (for example, IP address and network headers) necessary to serve the resource. For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy.
7. Consent
The first time you use the app (and when purposes or providers change), you will see a notice with options to:
-
Accept all optional cookies/technologies,
-
Refuse non-necessary ones,
-
or Configure your preferences in the settings screen.
8. How to change or withdraw your consent
You can modify your choice at any time from within the app, at:
-
Settings → Cookies, where you can accept or refuse.
9. Deletion and Disactivation
In addition to the app panel:
-
You can clear DokiPic data from the device system settings (this may delete cookies and data necessary for the operation of the account in use).
-
Depending on the platform, you can also review privacy options for the integrated viewer component.
Please note that if you disable necessary technologies, the app may not function correctly.
10. Your rights regarding personal data
You have the right to:
-
know why your data is being processed and for how long,
-
access your data,
-
request rectification or erasure where appropriate,
-
